Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information AiClass collects, why, and how we protect it. We follow the principles of Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, optional phone number, and your password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form, so we cannot read it).
- Google sign-in (optional): if you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name, email address and Google account ID with us. We never see your Google password.
- Order details: what you bought, the amount, date and order number.
- Payment proof: the bank slip you send us on WhatsApp or upload, so we can match your payment.
- Technical information: a session cookie that keeps you logged in and remembers your cart, and your IP address for security (for example to block repeated wrong password attempts).
We do not collect or store card numbers, CVV codes, OTPs or online banking passwords.
How we use it
- to create your account and deliver the books you buy;
- to confirm payments and answer your questions;
- to keep the website secure and prevent fraud;
- to tell you about your orders. We only send news or offers if you ask for them.
Sharing
We never sell or rent your personal information. We only share it when needed to run the service (for example with our web hosting provider or a licensed payment provider), or when the law requires it.
Cookies
We use one essential session cookie to keep you logged in and remember your cart. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and order history while your account is open, so you can download your books again. Payment slips are kept only as long as needed for our records. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Security
Passwords are hashed, private files (ebooks and payment slips) cannot be opened directly from the internet, accounts are protected against repeated wrong password attempts, and the live site uses an encrypted HTTPS connection.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or update your details yourself in My library under Settings. Contact us using the details below.
